At one time, the BCABA (BOXING BC) had a list of honorary life members as published at various times in Boxing Programs in the Seventies, on letterhead and in the February 1984 issue of the "BRITISH COLUMBIA AMATEUR BOXING NEWS"
Most of those members are long since deceased but they all played an important role in BC over the years: Patrick O'Reilly, Stanley F. Smith, Joe Magri, Bill Cowie, Elio Ius, Pat West, Joe Webb, Tommy Paonessa, H. Bert Lowes, Lennie Walters, Al Decarie, Don Cowan, Harold Mann, Bill Brenner, Dave Brown, Walter T. Boyce, Melvin Ius, Fred Fuller Sr., John McCluskey, Harry Twist and Walter Austin.
Of interest, of the list of 21, five of them are in the list of 15 core group of inductees into the BC Amateur Boxing Hall of Fame: O'Reilly, Mann, Brown, Fuller and Elio Ius. Four of them are listed as builders and Harold Mann is listed as a boxer.
