Cranbrook Eagles dominant at year's first Boxing B.C. event Local Sports Cranbrook Daily Townsman, Cranbrook, BC

CRANBROOK EAGLES BOXING CLUB - TODAY AND YESTERDAY:by brian zelley

The recent activity of the Cranbrook Eagles is a reminder of days gone by.
Today, we have boxers such as BRAD HYSTAD and COLIN ADAMS.  In years gone by
during the MIKE MOORE years there were boxers like DERRICK HOYT in the Seventies
and a gym full of junior stars in the 1980's.

One of the best bouts that took place in the mid-Seventies was in a show hosted by the VICTORIA ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION between Cranbrook's Derrick Hoyt and Vancouver's
Jamie Ollenberger.

Today, the boxers are coached by former boxer BILLY WATSON  and TOM WHITE.
